The avast Secure browser Review is an internet browser that places a high emphasis on security and privacy, with features such as Bank Mode and Anti-Tracking Technology. It also comes with a VPN built-in, which allows you to browse quickly and remain safe. It is based on Chromium and, therefore, is similar to Chrome and also supports Chrome extensions as well as its own security-focused extensions.
Avast Secure Browser includes a variety of privacy and security extensions pre-installed. They include an adblocker, an antiphishing extension, an extension for anti-tracking and fingerprint concealment, HTTPS encryption, extension guard, password manager and even the ability to double-check credentials on websites like HaveIBeenPwned. All of these extensions through the browser’s Security & Privacy Center. You can also set up each of them according to your preference.
The adblocker’s performance is strong and can be set to block the majority of ads. It can also block flash files, which can help pages load faster. The browser can also identify websites that are phishing and warn you about any potential scams. However this feature is not as powerful than Google’s Scam Alert.
The browser claims to be “track proof,” but this is actually a fancy method of saying that it follows the Do Not Track standard, that’s not as strong as check these guys out it should be. The anti-fingerprinting capabilities in the browser seem pretty limited as well and only scrambles only a small portion of your user agent string.
